October 1990, Dr Clarissa Hersey-James appeared on the Montel Williams show featuring women who were delivery drug exposed newborns and fighting a cocaine and drug addiction at Operation PAR,Inc. Drug Alcohol Treatment Program in St. Petersburg, Florida.
February 2001, was elected into the Who's Who's of America and received the Glenda Watkins Award for her commitment in assisting battered women.
July 2002, was awarded the Florida School of Addictions Studies(FSAS)"Outstanding Professional of the Year Award"
in the substance abuse field.
January 2004, was elected as one of the finalist for the Minority Businessperson of the Year Award sponsored by the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
September 2004, received the national New England Patriot "R.O.S.E. Award" Regaining Ones Self-Esteem sponsored by the R.O.S.E. Foundation for a survivor who has overcome great adversities and has become a catalyst, a voice and role model for the formerly/battered victims and/or survivors.
October 2004, copyrighted a poem titled "Does Domestic Violence Affect a Child" and currently writing her biography titled,"Alpha and Omega" The Journey of An Innocent Child", from Devastion to Destiny.
May 2005, Dr. Hersey-James received the "Sylvia Tucker Award" an award for a Women of Color that exemplify a person with great leadership abilities and leave a legacy in the field of domestic violence.
October 2005 was a part of a documentary for Governor and Lady Bush as well as Keynote Speaker for the Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence in honoring them for their support in funding to end domestic violence on February 10, 2006, as well as his Leadership with education and Lady Bush with substance abuse.
February 2006, she was elected into the Empire's Who's Who for Executives and Professionals, also named Cambridge Who's Who Executive of the Year Representing Faith Based Ministry for the year 2007-2008.
November 2006, she was blessed to accompany her Spiritual Leaders, Honorable R.W. and Ruth Merthie on a Missionary Trip to Nairobi Kenya, Kampala Uganda, Johannesburg, South Africa and London England. Dr. Hersey-James shared her testimony and the lives of people, especially women will never be the same.
